At home after being under conviction at an evening church service I went to my mother\'s room and told her about it. She had me kneel beside her bed and there I received Christ. At least I think I did. It wasn\'t until years later that I wanted to tell anybody about it. Reading the Bible one morning I came to Ro 7:18 ...in me dwelleth no good thing... and it hit me. I had been looking in myself for some evidence of goodness that might indicate that God had saved me. What a relief. I had to tell friends about it. But I haven\'t grown much in the years since and if we\'re not growing we\'re shrinking. |

Hello Al,
If you repented of your sins and acknowledged Jesus died for you and accepted that sacrifice and asked Him in your heart you are indeed saved...:cheer:
I am a little surprised it took so long for you to express your salvation..
That is pretty unusual to my knowledge as He makes such a change in our hearts..?
But I am very glad He spoke to your heart and you are now able to tell others about Him and what He did for you... :)
I am in agreement that their is no good thing in us without Him..
That is why we must look to Him for all we do and do it unto Him..
\"In Him we live and move and have our being\"...
A new creation in Christ Jesus...
Amen Brother...Keep growing up into all He wants you to be.... |

Hello there Alden.
I too found myself in a similar situation, scpecially after I encountered opposition from my parents and other people.
I didn\'t walk with the Lord right away, He had to drag me.
But one day, He touched me again, and then I had to tell everybody.

I had been raised in church but never gave myself fully to the Lord. When I was old enough to do what I wanted I went out and got into drugs, alcohol, theft and many vile things. After about 8 years of family and others praying , through a series of circumstances, the Lord led me to a revival service where He saved my soul and filled me with His love and a desire to share the gospel. I am now an ordained minister, I have been youth director in several churches, founded and direct puppet, cloen and drama ministries and am launching a non profit organization to help the hurting. It is amazing what God can do.:lol: |

GOD can use our messes to HIS good. i feel you have to go through tests to have a testimony. i been on my own when i was 12. i suvived living in the streets for four years. suvived cancer in 1998. and a car accident in 1973 that injured my back and in 2004 i fell and hurt my back to the point i can barely walk and lost 60% use of my left arm . i crushed the elbow in the fall and have linited use of my hand. i live in pain every day. i take morphine cause the cancer treatments damaged my colon and bladder.i have to believe that GOD can still use me. i have faith..and nothing can take that. |

you are right, if we are not progressing in Growth, we remain static, and retrogress to the ways of the world. That\'s the problem Paul had in Corinth. The church there was full of babies, living like the lost.
