I was bogged down in a store aisle sorting through Mother's Day cards and having absolutely no luck. It is another Mother's Day and I was having trouble selecting the perfect Mother's Day card. I am tempted to settle for something less than perfect this year.
I was rummaging through all kinds of Mother's Day cards and not happy with any one. There were categories galore for my selection. There are cards to celebrate every aspect of motherhood a person could think of. Of course, I saw a couple categories I had never thought of before. After over a half a century of giving Mother's Day cards I am really at a standstill. I have gone Mother's Day card dry.
This year I have more Mother's Day cards to select than ever. There is my mother, of course, my mother-in-law, both of my daughters and my daughter-in-law. If this is not enough to confuse a person, not to mention driving me to the poor house, I do not know what is.
Because all of these women in my life are connected to each other, and always compare notes, it is impossible to

Just before Jesus ascended into heaven, He gave His disciples directions for carrying on His work after His physical presence would be removed for the earth.
Jesus told His disciples to go and make disciples of all nations. We should go forth. It makes no difference whether it is next door, or across the nation, by the grace of God, we are privileged to cross the ocean for Him. this is our task.

With their worship they acknowledged Jesus as God. Obediently they returned to the city as He had directed where they prayed. They did not brood or despair over His absence. THE ASCENSION OF OUR LORD
"When He had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, He lifted up His hands and blessed them. While He was blessing them, He left them and was carried up into heaven.
- Luke 24:50,51
Forty days after the resurrection of Christ the disciples witnessed the event that we're celebrating today, the Ascension of Jesus. He was carried up into heaven before their very eyes. - Luke 24:50
On this day the LORD, having assembled His disciples for the last time, led them out to the Mount of Olivet(Olives), until they were over against, in plain view of Bethany. The place of the ascension was probably near the summit of the mount, on the southeastern slope. Here, for the last itme in visible form, the LORD lifted up His hands over His disciples to bless them.
