"I have brought You glory on earth by completing the work You gave Me to do. And now, Father, glorify Me in Your presence with the glory I had with You before the world began." - John 17:4,5 Jesus continues His prayer concerning His and the Father's glory by stating that He had glorified the Father by completing the work of redemption the Father had given Him. So confident is He of the success of His work. the Father is glorified in the Son's redemption of the world. It is interesting to observe that Jesus regards His redemptive mission as a loving gift from the Father and not at all as an unwelcome burden.
