What do Einstein and Marilyn Monroe have in common? Apparently 15 feet. That's how far you need to back away from your computer monitor for this picture of a math genius to turn into an actress genus.
There may be a lesson in this. Sometimes, up close, people don't always look beautiful and far away they don't always appear smart. But if you take the time to get farther away or closer (as the case may be) your perspective may change. Undoubtedly this worked for Mrs. Einstein before she was Mrs. Einstein.
As with many things in life, the distance you look at someone is all relative.
Back up from your screen and see Albert Einstein turn into Marilyn Monroe.
This is just plain cool. A lot of people are using those clip-on flashing LEDs on the back of their bikes to warn motorists of their presence when riding their bikes at night. This is definitely a way better solution to bicycle safety on the road - although, I must point out that the flaming guy doesn't seem to have a bike helmet on.
There's one in every bunch - a bad banana. This is just what you need when you go to do some shopping at the local mall to get your mind off of things.
At least this doesn't happen in Disneyworld with the characters there - though when I was 10 I did have a little run-in with Goofy. No big deal, everyone knows he has issues.
My youngest child (not so young anymore), has just gotten her driver's license and is taking lessons with Young Drivers of Canada. They will help her to learn may of the rules of the road and helpful skills such as parallel parking.
I hope they teach her to do it as well as this guy does.
My son recently bought Guitar Hero for his Xbox360. Besides providing one more opporutunity to remember my first childhood guitar lesson on an accordian, his video game purchase has me once again admiring people who can play the guitar well. The guys in this video are not only examples of great guitar players, they are also examples of sharing as they play "Jerry's Breakdown" composed by Jerry Reed for two guitars. Anyone who can play like this deserves to be my Guitar Hero.
Sometimes it's hilarious when little kids are trying to be totally serious. Take for instance this video where a brother mistakes spit for blood and tries to alert his dad.
Here's a classic toy from the past. The "Etch a Sketch" fascinated us for years as children and gave many of us lots of practice dealing with the disappointment of not being able to accurately express our artistic impressions in any medium.
