Today's video share is of a very unique train station where nobody gets off to stay!

Oh look, Chicken Thursday!

volcano lightningHere is an interesting question, Do babies swear? How you answer that depends on where you stand on the doctrine of original sin, the fallenness of mankind, and if the baby in question is one of your precious grandbabies or not! Ultimately, we will never know because none of us can speak "baby."

Why am I wondering about cussing infants? Well, today's video share may have swearing in it, but I can't tell because I don't speak the language of the people reacting to this volcano/lightning show. So just in case there is swearing in this, you should not watch this while holding a baby because eventually that baby is going to learn to swear in some language and I don't want to be held responsible!

Oh look, Chicken Thursday!

disappearing car doorI am off to the dentist this morning. My favourite dental hygienist has retired so I hope her replacement is good. I also hope she is positive, even though she will spend most of her time looking down in the mouth.

Today's video share shows an unique car innovation that apparently never caught on. I like cars with gull wing doors - this is the exact opposite of that.

Please note that I originally wrote this last week (June 30th) but the Cybersalt Digest did not go out due to technical problems (technically, I made a mistake again!)

Sunday greetings, everyone!

lifetime warrantees for carA happy heavenly birthday to my sister, Melissa. I don't think birthdays are celebrated in Heaven where there is no earthly time. In the light of eternity, what sense would there be in celebrating turning one million years old? Of course, we will still be celebrating Jesus who died for our sins so we could live that long!

Just the same, it brings comfort to my heart to pause and wish my sister a happy heavenly birthday. It is a reminder that she is more than OK. Her suffering, which was tied to having a physical body and the passing of time, is over and even though I miss her greatly, another coming of her birthday is an opportunity for me to remember, to be comforted, and to be grateful to God.

Today's video share is about a woman who keeps her car running on a bunch of lifetime warrantees. Apparently it's a good strategy if you live a long life and want to keep driving the same car!

Oh look, Chicken Thursday - happy 4th of July to my US subscribers!

giant harmonicasThe cherry tree at Cybersalt World Headquarters is all picked - by the starlings, crows, robins, and especially racoons. The racoon was especially rude about it because he left all the pits in a pile (literally) by our pear tree. No wonder they wear masks!

Today's video share features giant harmonicas. I had no idea harmonicas came this big and I have been to Texas. Honestly I can't help but smile when I look at them being played. Listening? Well maybe not that much, but looking - definitely!

Oh look, Chicken Thursday!

Tim Susan and a white violetNo, I haven't fallen and can't get up! Our niece took this picture of Grandma Cybersalt and me as we tried to get pictures of a flower we had never seen before. This was during a stroll on a boardwalk in GooseBay-Happy Valley, Newfoundland, on our trip to the East Coast earlier this month. Susan wanted a picture because it was so tiny she could see it better on her phone, and I wanted a picture so I could ask ChatGPT what kind of flower it was (for those of you who are ornithologists, it was a White Violet.)

Today's video share is one of my all-time favourites that have been shared around since the internet was becoming a "thing." I think you will enjoy "Top Soccer Shootout Ever With Scott Sterling":

Sunday greetings, everyone!

vacation TeslaOn our recent trip, I only rented Tesla's for getting around. I did this because I wanted to learn more about them and what owning an electric car would be like, including the lifestyle of having to charge it instead of gassing up along the way. And, I also was attracted to give an EV a longer time test because they have become so polarized and politicized in our current culture. I have to chuckle at how many people might have judged me one way or another for "owning" a Tesla!

Even though there was a learning curve, I really enjoyed the Tesla (it was a model 3) and if I had the money I would buy one today. I enjoyed the tech, the quiet running and the acceleration. It is honestly the fastest accelerating car I have ever driven - and remember I have raced on the local speedway! That said, I also enjoyed setting the auto driving to the speed limit and enjoy many relaxed drives through the country sides we were travelling. As my age goes up, the price of electric cars is going to go down, so maybe someday I will be able to afford one and still be allowed to drive it, lol.

In an ironic twist, when we returned home and got in our 2007 Chevy Impala in the long term parking lot at the Victoria Airport, we discovered the battery was dead. After 2 weeks of driving an electric car, we had returned to a "no electric" car.

Today's video share is of an incredibly talented, polite, and obviously well raised child.
