"Rejoice in the LORD always, and again I say, Rejoice."
- Philippians 4:4

It is a pity that many sincere believers do not penetrate into the true joy of the Christian faith. Christian joy in the LORD is altogether different from worldly hilarity. It was in the night of His betrayal that our Savior spoke much about joy to His first disciples. "These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you and your joy might be full." John 15:11.

The Psalmist said: "The secret of the LORD is with them that fear Him." The secret of an abiding joy in the LORD is an unquestioning faith in His wisdom and love, and an absolute devotion in His will.  Such faith and devotion are the gifts of the Holy Spirit to hearts that sincerely search the Scriptures and earnestly pray for such inner joy. Such hearts will learn that "the joy of the LORD is our strength." Nehemiah 8:10

Christian friends, remind yourself often of all that Jesus has given to you and be thankful. That's how to arrange your mind.

God takes delight when we rejoice
In all that He has done
And when we thank Him for the love
He shows us through His Son.
