" Is anything too hard for the LORD?" Genesis 18:14

Abraham had entertained three men, one of whom was the LORD. Then the LORD promised Abraham and Sarah a son but Sarah laughed because she doubted His promise. The LORD was displeased and asked, "Is anything too hard for the LORD?"

Much unhappiness and heartaches, even in the lives of Christians today is caused by doubt of the power of the Almighty God. But why should God, who had created Abraham and Sarah and given them all their powers of body and mind, not be able to give us anything. He pleases and helps us in all our needs? If it is sickness that troubles us, the countless healing performed by our LORD during His earthly ministry, and the miracles of healing that occur today, ought to reassure us. If it is poverty that distresses us, let us trust in our gracious LORD, wo owns everything. "Whatsoever is under the whole heaven is Mine." He says; and He deals out to each one of us as He wills, as it is good for us. If we are torn by grief, God also knows that fact, and He can comfort us.

Christian friends, Whatever the need Jesus says: "Your heavenly Father knoweth that you have need of these things. Matt. 6:32. And He who knows our need and who promises, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." has at the same time the power to help, for He is the Almighty God.

He leadeth me. Oh, blessed thought                                                                            Oh, words with heavenly comfort fraught                                                    Whate'er I do, where'er I be                                                                                             Still 'tis God's hand that leadeth me.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - You do not prove the resources of  God until you trust Him for the impossible.
