"Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? And one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered."

We who know that we are the redeemed children of God have an altogether different view of the world. We know we are dear to God. While we were yet sinners, He sent His Son down to redeem us. Now that we have been redeemed, He will deal with us as with sons. True, at times we cannot understand His dealings with us, but at all times we know that even if His dealings seem harsh and almost cruel, they are prompted by a heart of love. Therefore, as Christians we walk under the dangers of each day without fear. We know that through Christ we have a heavenly Father who loves us and who has promised that He will never let us go. We can go on our way rejoicing, for the whole way is under the watchful love of One to whom we are more precious than ever we may think.

We can believe what the Bible teaches us about His power, His wisdom, and His working in this world. And that creates in us the confidence that He never takes His eye off us, that He is interested in us, and that He will listen to us and help us no matter how inconsequential we may feel ourselves or our problems to be.

Christian friends, Just knowing that His eye is on the sparrow and on us changes everything.

If God sees the sparrow fall,
Paints the lillies short and tall,
Gives the skies their azure hue,
Will He not then care for you?

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - Those who see God's hand in everything can best leave everything in God's hand.
