"Oh, sing unto the LORD a new song."
- Psalm 96:1

The song of the Christian Church is an old song. Its central theme is the old, old story of Jesus and His love.

It is also a new song. From Calvary flow blessings which are new every morning. As we move through the varying scenes, tasks, and the experiences of life, God gives to us insights and strength that are adapted to our particular needs and opportunities. Each day offers new material for our song. We can never outgrow its newness as that would mean we could outgrow God's mercies. It will continue to be new until we . . .

It will continue to be new until we join the heavenly host in the song of heaven: "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing."

Christian friends, tomorrow, God willing, we shall awake to a new day. We pray that the Holy Spirit may open our eyes to His ever-new mercies and fill our hearts with gratitude which will overflow into a new song.

O sing a new song to the Lord;
Sing all, the earth, to God,
To God sing, bless His Name, show still
His saving health abroad.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - Singing makes your tasks easier.
