"Grow in grace and in the knowledge of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ."
- 2 Peter 3:18

On the day of confirmation many of our young professing Christians start out on what promised to be an outstanding career. They have spent many hours at the feet of god, studying His message to us. In their hearts is the power of the Holy Spirit. Some of them become leaders in the work of the Church. Others in a quiet way are active, sharing spiritual blessings with their relatives and acquaintances. Many are unappreciative of mobility of character and achievement.

What a tragedy as they deprive themselves of the satisfactions which come from . . .

What a tragedy as they deprive themselves of the satisfactions which come from a larger faith and a devoted service. They fail to be a light to many who are groping in darkness. God wants our whole life to be a growth in the qualities which characterize a Christian. He wants us day by day to know Him better who is our LORD and Savor.

Christian friends, God Himself has provided the soil in which our lives are to be rooted, His own Word. In it is the power of the Holy Spirit. Living init, we shall grow from grace to grace, from knowledge to knowledge and from strength to strength.

Divine Instructor, gracious LORD,
Be Thou forever near;
Teach me to love Thy sacred Word
And view my Savior here. Amen

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - The life of fellowship with God cannot be built up in a day.
