Acts 2

Something happened deep down in Peter on Pentecost. He was no longer the timid man, always afraid of what might happen to him as a follower of Jesus. Standing within the very shadows of the hall in which his Savior was condemned to death, he fearlessly faced thousands and charged: "Ye have taken Jesus and by wicked hands have crucified and slain Him"

His message on this occasion was well organized and he made his point. It was a simple sermon of sin and grace. But in it was something which penetrated and cut to the hearts of sin like a two-edged sword. Thousands asked anxiously: "Men and brethren, what shall we do?" Thousands were then united with God through faith and with one another through a fellowship of love.

Christian friends, as Christians, we have a message that makes the melodies of heaven flood our souls. Our LORD gave us the mandate to share that message with everybody everywhere Mark 16:15. Are we keeping the heavenly harmonies of saving grace sealed up inside ourselves, or are we obediently letting them ring out through our lips and lives?

O you who are trusting Jesus,
Redeemed at infinite cost,
Are you showing Christ to others
And seeking to win the lost?

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - Everyone outside of Christ is a mission field; everyone in Christ should be a missionary.

Words to the hymn "GO"
Refrain
Go,go,go, go,
Leave what He asks you to leave;
Pray for your part in the harvest
Give what He asks you to give.

Out in the dark they are dying
For them His life He gave
Go, tell the lost of salvation
Give them a chance to live

Uttermost part is His order
Dare any answer no
What will you do when you meet Him
If you refuse to go?

Down from the glories of heaven
Down to the world of woe
When there was no eye to pity
Jesus said, "I will go."
