"Whatsoever He saith unto you, do it."
- John 2:5

Such was the advice which the Virgin Mother gave to the servants at the wedding in Cana of Galilee. She had no way of knowing what her Son might do in the existing embarrassment. The servants obeyed; and as a result the whole wedding party was blessed by Christ's first miracle.

How can we today know what  "he saith?" We cannot hear His voice as did the men of Galilee. Yet if we reverently search the Scriptures; if we prayerfully ask Jesus for the guidance of His Spirit; if we carefully note the guideposts of His providential dealing with us day by day, then we also shall be able to discern His will. Christian friends, we would do well to give His good advice to one another, to encourage ourselves and others in all things to do the Master's will. Whatsoever He saith. We may not choose some of His commands and pass up others. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you," Only in full surrender to His will and in ready obedience to His every command can we find assurance of God's favor. "Then shall I not be ashamed when I have respect unto all  Thy Commandments." Psalm 119:6

      Obedient to the LORD'S direction
      Doing what His Word commands,
      I joyfully will follow Jesus
      Willingly with heart and hands.
