"Whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister and whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant; even as the son of Man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister and to give His life a ransom for many."

Salome, an ambitious mother approached our LORD with the request: "Grant that my two sons may sit, the one on Thy right hand, and the other on the left, in Thy kingdom." This women was the mother of James and John, two Apostles of Christ. The two sons shared their mother's ambtion.

Christian friends, we achieve true greatness, and our lives become truly beautiful in that degree in which we strive to imitate our Savior's life and consecrate our lives to the service of others for Christ's sake. There will always be a big difference between the genuine and the imitation. Daily we shall have to pray: "Forgive us our trespasses." But having prayed this and having received the assurance of sins forgiven, our deep desire will be to walk life's pathway with Jesus not only as our Savior from sin, but also as our Pattern and Model.

      It's serving other people's needs
      That God consider's great

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY- Only the one who has learned to serve is qualified to lead.
