"Verily, I say unto you, inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these My brethren, you have done it unto Me."
- Matthew 25:40

How often have you said, "I must do something for Jesus."  We cannot do anything for Him directly but our service to Him must be rendered in a roundabout way. He disguises Himself in others and through them calls to His disciples to serve Him.

Sometimes it requires very sharp eyes to recognize the LORD Jesus appearing in His brethren and a very keen ear to catch His pleas, for He may . . .

Sometimes it requires very sharp eyes to recognize the LORD Jesus appearing in His brethren and a very keen ear to catch His pleas, for He may appear in the most rugged clothes, in the filthiest slums, in the gutters of the street, behind prison bars. And He may speak only in faint whispers.

Once the Christian catches the meaning, the significance, and the beauty of the overwhelming assurance: "You have done it unto Me." such service becomes the source of the greatest joy to Him.

Christian friends, the next time you reach out to help a fellow believer, remember that you are actually ministering to Christ. What a privilege!

      God's service is more than mere preaching;
      All toil is a challenge, you see;
      Of that which is done for the needy,
      Christ says, "You have done it for Me."

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY- We serve Christ when we serve people in need.
