What does Jesus want from us? Total dedication, not half-hearted commitment. We can't pick and choose among Jesus' ideas and follow Him selectively; we have to accept the cross along with the crown, judgment as well as mercy. A true disciple of the LORD Jesus must be willing to go straight on for God regardless of what it may cost him personally.

Some of you who are dedicated servants of God reading this devotion may be disheartened and ready to give up his position. Because there are so few true followers of the LORD Jesus Christ today, the devil tries very hard to discourage those who are most needed. Remember Jesus' words in Luke 9:62, and Don't Quit.
 
Pressed by foes but not retreating,
For the battle still is on;
Going on without relenting
Till the final victory's won.
