"Sir, we would see Jesus."
- John 12:21

It is not suprising that men want to see Jesus. There has never been anyone else like Jesus and no one has ever influenced the world as He has. Here are few sentences from an annonymous tract with this striking description of Jesus:

"Here is a man who was born in an obscure village, the child of a peasant woman. He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never owned a home. He never went to collage. He never traveled two hundred miles from the place where He was born. The tide of popular opinion turned against Him. His friends ran away. One of them denied Him. He was turned over to . . .

He was turned over to His enemies. He went through the mockery of a trial. He was nailed to a cross between two thieves. When He was dead, He was taken from the cross and laid in a borrowed grave through the pity of a friend. Centuries have come and gone, but today He is the centerpiece of the human race and the leader of the column of progress. All the armies that ever marched, and all the churchs that were ever built, and all the parliments that ever sat, and all the kings that ever reigned together have not affected the life of man upon earth so powerfully as has that one solitary life."

Christian friends, set an example by your life, and exalt Christ in your messages to others. Then when meeting others they will see Jesus in you.

We would see Jesus, the great rock foundation,
Whereon our feet were set by sovereign grace;
Not life nor death, with all their agitation,
Can thence remove us, if we see His face.
