All men of all nations know by the testimony of the Law of God written in their hearts that they have offered God and that God must be reconciled before they can find peace and happiness. Man in his blindness bowed down before wood and stone with sacrificial offerings of many kinds sought to appease the wrath of his imaginary gods. The world is groping after that which only Jesus Christ can give, peace with God. Therefore Jesus may well be designated "the Desire of all nations."

Come, Thou long-expected Jesus,
Born to set Thy people free;
From our fears and sins release us;
Let us find our rest in Thee.
Israel's Strength and Consolation,
Hope of all the earth Thou art,
Dear Desire of every nation,
Joy of every longing heart.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY- To find joy at Christmas, look to Jesus.
