"He hath sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted."

In the book of Job we read that "man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward." Some of our trials are incurred by our carelessness or mistakes. Others come from satanic attacks, and still others are the product of God's correcting and chastening hand in Job 5:17,18.

Day in, day out, the Master mends the Christian's life so full of rents, some caused by our own carelessness, a broken heart in deep distress.  Mending again, how patiently He come and mends with threads of love and selfsame rents, broken anew, bleeding and sore that He has fixed so oft before.

Yes, with tender hand our gracious LORD binds up the wounded spirit. Go to Him now in your hour of need. He will restore your soul and renew your joy.

How dear to God are broken things
What power in His hand they gain
Then trust Him with your shattered hopes
And bodies wracked with pain.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY; Broken things can become blessed things if you let Christ do the mending.
