Time and time again, the LORD has tenderly spoken these reassuring words to His people: "Do not fear." Yet how prone we are to live our days like frightened lambs, in fear and anxiety.
 
Why are we so fearful? Could it be that we see God as a reluctant giver? Jesus tenderly corrected this distortion when . . .

Why are we so fearful? Could it be that we see God as a reluctant giver? Jesus tenderly corrected this distortion when He said, "Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom." He implied that fear is needless because we can trust our Father's care.
 
Christian friends, Jesus said that our heavenly Father knows what we need, if we seek His kingdom first His provisions will be ours. We can trust Him. He meant what He said.
 
      At times our fears may loom so large
      We long for proof that God is near;
      It's then our Father says to us,
      "Have faith, My child, and do not fear."
