"One thing have I desired of the LORD, that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD and to enquire in His temple."
- Psalm 27:4

The dwelling place of God is the church and is regarded by Christians as a holy place. As Jacob once referred to his lodging place, so the Christian can justly exclaim with reference to his church; "Surely, the LORD is in this place; this is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven."

The Christian sees the beauty in his church. There streams of living water which quench the thirst of weary pilgrims; there the bread of life is dispensed to . . .

Finally, his church is a blessed place for the Christian because there he enjoys the most hallowed fellowship with Him who deigns to dwell there and with those who fellowship is like to that above.  A Christian frequently gives expression to the sentiment of the Psalmist: "LORD, I have loved the habitation of Thy house and the place where Thine honor dwelleth"

Christian friends, Think of it, the God who created us now dwells in us. May our single greatest desire is to be in His church and enjoy His presence more each time we enter there.

      Living with Jesus, fellowship precious;
      Oh, how we love to sit at His feet
      We are God's children, we are His loved ones,
      Sensing His presence, fellowship sweet.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - Our greatest privilege is to enjoy God's presence.
