Friday was the coldest August 23rd ever at Cybersalt World Headquarters. We even turned on both fireplaces to take the chill off! But I'm not complaining, it is good for the wildfire situation and the plants don't seem to mind.

Oh look, Chicken Thursday!
Tomorrow is Grandma Cybersalt's and my 38th anniversary. We haven't discussed any plans yet, but I think Dairy Queen ice cream may be a good idea. Did you know that if you buy a large ice cream cake and scan the purchase to get points on the Dairy Queen app, the points you get are enough to get 6 free medium blizzards, which would otherwise cost the same as a large ice cream cake? That's my kind of ice cream economy!

Oh look, Chicken Thursday!
Grandma Cybersalt and I had a fun time watching the last flight of the Martin Mars water bomber, which I told you about last Sunday. Unfortunately there was another error between my keyboard and my seat and I didn't update the shared video link. Today, Grandma Cybersalt and I are going to take a trip down memory lane (all the way back to her childhood) and go watch the Hawaii Martin Mars water bomber land at the end of its last flight. Susan was born and raised in Port Alberni, British Columbia, where this plane (and a sister to it) were based on a nearby lake. Both of us have memories of hearing its pounding engines, thundering as it took off and out of the Alberni Valley on the way to fight a wild fire somewhere.
