"The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want."
- Psalm 23:1

The Bible contains more than 1200 chapters, but none is more comforting, inspiring, and encouraging than the 23rd Psalm. It is very warm and personal, and it assures us that we are completely surrounded by God's love. His care can be found beneath us in green pastures, beside us in still waters, with us as our Shepherd, before us on a table, around us as protection from our enemies, behind us as goodness and mercy, and ahead of us in the house of the LORD, where we will dwell forever.

Christians friends, when you are faced with fear and difficulty, think of this psalm and repeat over and over until your heart is . . .

O for a faith that will not shrink,
Though pressed by every foe,
That will not tremble on the brink
Of any earthly woe.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - Man knows no want when God is his supply.
