"Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation; old things are passed away."
- 2 Cor.  5;17

A great transformation takes place in the sinner's heart when he is convicted by the Spirit of God.  For example let us look at William Mackay who became a new man in Christ.  He had been brought up by a Godly mother, but when he became a medical student he renounced his early religious training.  He assisted in a mock celebration of the LORD'S Supper and sacrilegiously he raised a glass of wine and said, "Behold the blood of our LORD Jesus Christ.Suddenly he turned pale and trembled from head to foot and fled from . . .

A great transformation takes place in the sinner's heart when he is convicted by the Spirit of God.  For example let us look at William Mackay who became a new man in Christ.  He had been brought up by a Godly mother, but when he became a medical student he renounced his early religious training.  He assisted in a mock celebration of the LORD'S Supper and sacrilegiously he raised a glass of wine and said, "Behold the blood of our LORD Jesus Christ. Suddenly he turned pale and trembled from head to foot and fled from the place in terror and spent the night pacing the streets.

Under deep conviction of sin, he went to his room and begin to pray for God's mercy and accepted Christ as his Savior with the help of his mother who heard him praying.  He immediately went back to his classmates and testified as to what had happened.  Not long afterward he wrote the lyrics of the Gospel song, "Revive Us Again."  We praise Thee, O God, for the Son of Thy love, for Jesus who died and is now gone above."  Eventually he studied for the ministry.

Dear Friends, the LORD Jesus can transform you as He did William Mackay and use you for His glory.

We praise Thee, O God, For Thy Spirit of light, Who has shown as our Savior And scattered our night.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Jesus took our PLACE that we might have His PEACE; He took our SIN that we might have His SALVATION.
