Satan often uses our bad experiences to cause us to doubt God. When illness strikes, death takes a loved one, jobs disillusion us, and people disappoint us, we may wonder whether standing firm as a Christian is truly worth it.

We may doubt whether He is guiding and directing our lives for the better. If you have been reading the devotions the past few weeks, you can see God's promises are reliable and sure. He has been faithful to us, His people, so that we can live with Him in a relationship that will never end.

Christian friends, stand firm to the end, not because of who you are, or what you have done, but because of who God is and what He has done for us in Jesus Christ. With Him beside you, and His Spirit in you, you will stand firm to the end.

      Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father,
      There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
      Thou changest not, Thy compassions they fail not;
      As Thou hast been, Thou forever wilt be.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - The best reason for hope is God's faithfulness.
