Japanese Pac-Man

Details
Published: 05 April 2007

Once again, my current language skills prevent me from previewing this clip to make sure it's appropriate language-wise.  So if you speak Japanese, I'll let you assume the risk of listening.

Otherwise, just have fun watching whatever on earth this is.  Pac-man was never this . . . . . .strange.

Upside Down Typing

OK, so you sent your friend randomly generated text and they are really angry that you wasted so much of their time.  Why not send them a note of apology - only type it upside down.  The results aren't perfect, but hey, this isn't about perfection it's about letting your friend know that you are thinking of them.

Just be careful not to send any notes to people with bad necks who regularly attend a chiropractor.  Turning yoru head to red upside down itsn't for every one.

Random Letters

Published: 03 April 2007

We all face writer's block from time to time when it comes to saying what we want to say.  When that happens some people turn to Hallmark greeting cards to say if for them. But those can be pricey.

Here is a cheaper and much more useless solution - the random letter generator.  You pick the letters you want to randomly arrange (add a few spaces to make the results look like they are actual words) and send your greeting to your friend or relative.  Not only will they have the thrill of receiving something from you, they will also have the endless joy of trying to decipher your message.

Then, when you finally come clean about what the letters really represent, you can enjoy some one on one time with your penpal at the emergency ward after they beat the daylights out of you for wasting their time.

Before you try this, let me leave you with this thought, "Skgzrf  taf ouj slmvrpv pwcsder svouene imbebny wn in g buillsg uaj tti."

Horse Skid

Modern technology is making it harder and harder to tell the difference between special effects and real life action in the movies.  As computers getter faster and faster and programmers get smarter and smarter the line between fact and imagination blurs every hour.

As an example, I give you the video below.  First of all, for you lovers of all things equine, no horse was injured in the making of this clip.  I simply marvel at my inability to discern as to whether or not computers or advanced editing was used in this sequence.

You be the judge.

Big Snail

Published: 29 March 2007

I am no fan of fancy recipes or exotic foods. I like my toast plain and buttered, my chocolate without grasshoppers, and my tea clear.  So please excuse me if I don't understand people who like to eat stuff that I'll be kind and describe as "different".

Take, for instance, snails. When it comes to being food, snails already have it tough because of their looks.  To try and compensate for this, grocers have given them a fancy name - escargot.  I say escarNOT!

Some have also tried to make them appealing as little bite sized snacks. Well, just let me say that that little culinary tidbit of an idea is put to rest with this video below.
